A BBC television program, Panorama, has reported that ADHD drugs may be ineffective over the long term. They also pointed out that drugs such as Ritalin can slow child’s physical growth. The program highlights a study of 600 children, called the Multimodal Treatment Study of Children with ADHD, which concluded that over the long term (three years or more), drugs such as Concerta and Ritalin had no demonstrable benefit for children.
